APCDA invites you to attend this international conference where all presentations will be in English.  The audience will consist of delegates from many Asian countries and regions as well as other parts of the world.  This conference provides opportunities for networking, sharing among practitioners, and identifying new resources.  Breakout sessions will be divided into four tracks:

  • Serving School Populations (K-12)
  • Serving College Students
  • Serving Working or Job Seeking Adults
  • Research on Career Issues

The audience will include career and school counselors, counselor educators, workforce development professionals, human resource professionals, and career development practitioners at all age levels and in all settings (school, college and university, government, business, agency, corrections, and private practice). Delegates are encouraged to bring their own translators.

Dr. Mark Savickas, author of Career Construction Theory, is professor of Family and Community Medicine at the Northeast Ohio Medical University and Adjunct Professor of Counselor Education at Kent State University.

Dr. Norm Amundson, co-author of Hope-Action Theory and Professor Emeritus at the University of British Columbia. Ms. Andrea Fruhling, Executive Director for the Hope-Action Group and a career and organizational coach and instructor at the University of British Columbia

  • Professional Development Institutes (PDI): The PDIs are full.  The two 3-hour PDIs by the keynoters provide a more in-depth learning experience, where you will have the time to really learn the skills and content.  Those who do not participate have a day off between conference days.

CEU Clock Hours Available: Our annual conference is an opportunity for networking, professional development, and to earn 7 CE Clock Hours from the US NBCC.  Add 6 more CE Clock Hours with the PDIs. You can watch additional presentations after they have been recorded and earn additional CEU Clock Hours.

Refund policy: Registrations that are canceled at least 4 days prior to the event can be refunded.  After that time, there are no refunds.
