Cambodia Requests Mentors for Teen Career Development

By Ms. Bory You

Mrs. Bory YOU, Founder of Talent Excellence Development Partners Co. Ltd, a Career Coach, is conducting a Coaching workshop under the topic “Build Self-Confidence for Career Goal Setting for Teenagers.” We aimed to gather teenagers ages from 12-18 years old. The 1st batch was successfully completed with about 12 participants, they are communicating in English.

The goal of this training course is to help teenagers that are currently studying in middle school and high school to decide on their education paths based on their passions, interests and strengths. In Cambodia high school education system, students are given the choice to choose between social study and science study right after they entered grade 9. As a result, many students are having trouble choosing between the two studies simply because they have no idea which one suit them best. This is why, on 25th June 2023, 8am-5pm a coaching workshop in topic “Build Self-Confidence for Career Goal Setting for Teenagers” was launched that allows student to learn and discover themselves and choose the right study paths that will shape and align with their future job/career.

In order to ensure their momentum, we also schedule monthly mentoring sessions conducted online and we have 3 volunteer local mentors to support them on a weekend basis as they need to study on the weekend. These 3 national mentors are career coaching practitioners that have participated in this training course.  However, to support students more, we’re also looking for international mentors who are passionate and about helping the next generation of youth choose the right job/career for their future.

If you’re interested and would like to further look into this training course, please kindly contact us via our email that we attached above.
